I wish to say that my first blood donation was on 20/10/1993. On that day one of my Ham friend (YL.Hema - VU2HMN) called me through Amateur Radio in the morning regular net (Medical & Emergency Traffic Net) and informed me that one of his relative undergoing an open heart surgery and his blood group is A1B Negative.As soon as I receive this message in the Ham Radio, I rushed to the Southern Railway Hospital to donate blood to the particular patient. After donating the blood I felt very happy that I was able to save a life by grace of Almighty. Due to my health condition I am donating blood once in four months.
The purpose to provide this list are not to show My pride but to encourage people to donate blood irrespective of Caste, Creed and Religion.

World Blood Donor Day is celebrated June 14th every year. It is an opportunity to express gratitude to those who donate their blood in order to save lives, without expecting anything in return. The event on 14 June provides a special opportunity for a united, global celebration on a day that has particular significance: the birthday of Karl Landsteiner, Austrian biologist and physician and Nobel prize winner who discovered the ABO blood group system.
